This is a real customer experience! Trying to work with these guys and the manager (I think his name is Cliff.) was a terrible experience. My husband made the appointment for them to clean up my father's home (He recently passed.) outdoors, and we spent several days pulling out and cleaning up the items to be hauled away. When the 1-800-Junk team showed up, one of their trailers / trucks was full, leaving only one available for our items. That surprised me, since they never went to the house to assess exactly how much garbage there was to make sure they were prepared for our appointment. They refused to take anything out of the garage, claiming that it may be a bio safety hazard, or the back yard, claiming the grass was too high to safely remove items (The grass was ankle high.). So, they left and never offered to take the items already prepared for them in the front yard, leaving us to scramble to find someone else to clean the front yard. I called the 1-800 number (When you call, you are directed to a main call center, not a local affiliate / branch.) and was called back by the local manager. He told me they weren't going to do the job, because I assumed they weren't prepared for our appointment. I told him, no sir, it's not an assumption, but rather an observation. Afterwards, he said they would clean the front yard, but I decided not to proceed with them, because of everything that occurred that day, including my conversation with him. But thankfully I was able to find someone last minute to come by the house that day and start the work the following day with no issues regarding the ankle-high grass in the back yard or the items in the garage to be thrown out. My feeling (and this is just my opinion) is that because it was a very hot day, the 1-800-Junk guys saw how big a job it was at our house and didn't want to do it. One more thing: we were estimated one price when we made the appointment, and then a different estimate by the team that showed up. If you decide to work with these guys, make sure you request they assess the size of the job before showing up the day the work is to be done and provide the estimate in writing. Honestly, I do not recommend them and hope that more people that have similar experiences will take the time to share them on Google and other review sites.
